“Ash Wednesday is a reminder, that when we separate ourselves from the creator, we separate ourselves from the source of life.”
The season of Lent can help us take up better practices and try life with lesser indulgences. It is a time to look at ourselves honestly and take stock of our relationship with God and our fellow man to see what needs improvement. It can be a scary process, but it’s always a worthwhile one. Even Lenten “Fails” can be important stepping stones in our Lenten journey.
Lent reflects the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert in preparation for his ministry. During this time, I challenge you to act on one of the following suggestions during this lent season, fasting, special prayer and alms giving.
